Yesterday I shared a ton of wonderful gift ideas for the moms in your life, but today I want to share a little different gift idea!

What if you wanted to give your mom the gift of beautiful skin?! I don't know any moms who wouldn't appreciate a bag full of goodies to transform their skin and help rewind time. So today I'm sharing some products from the Rodan + Fields skincare line that the moms in your life will fall in love with!

Micro-dermabrasion Paste- Y'all, this stuff is one of our best-sellers for good reason. It makes your skin feel AH-MAZING! It is an oil-free formula that provides gentle exfoliation with maximum results to enhance cell turnover and improve skin tone and texture. Basically, you'll have a glow that looks like you just walked out of the spa and your skin will be as soft as a baby's bottom. But really, the first time I tried this, I kept making D feel my skin because it was so soft, and as soon as I got mine in, I made a friend of mine come over to try some products out and this is one of the things she tried. I kid you not, she texted me a few hours later after she had seen her mom, and her mom {without knowing that she had just been trying some new products out} told her that her skin looked great and she looked like she was glowing!! WHAT! Those results speak for themselves!

Sun goddess combo- If your mom loves the sun as much as mine, these would be the perfect products for her! These are Rodan + Fields Foaming Sunless Tan {read my review here- update: I applied it on Saturday, and it's still going strong today (Thursday)}, Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Body Sunscreen, and Lip Shield Broad Spectrum SPF 25 (Two-Pack). My Marme is seriously a sun goddess; every time we go to the beach she can be found sitting out on the deck basking in the sun all day. She was blessed with beautiful skin that has the prettiest bronze color after sun, but her aesthetician yells at her for it {PLEASEEEEEEE, PRETTY PLEASE WITH A CHERRY ON TOP go read her blog post about it! Warning: You may not want to do this in a public place where people will give you weird stares for laughing/crying hysterically at your phone} so she has gotten much better about taking care of her skin and putting on SPF. I know she'd love this combo because she could have it all- the color and the sun protection- without the lecture from the "small German woman that knows and shows no mercy."- Marme's words, not mine.

I've shared before that my skin is pretty sensitive and prone to serious redness and irritation; in the past, any type of sunscreen or beauty products containing SPF would seriously irritate it and cause my face to sting and itch the rest of the day until I removed it. It is not fun, but one thing I have found amazing about my Rodan + Fields products is that my skin doesn't have any sensitivities to the SPF products. No stinging, no itching, no redness, and no normal SPF smell- it's such a relief.

Reverse Regimen- The Reverse Regimen is Rodan + Fields solution for reversing sun damage while combatting signs of aging. It helps erase the appearance of premature aging, including brown spots, dullness, fine lines, wrinkles and discoloration while exfoliating and brightening to leave your complexion more radiant! It is a four step regimen that includes the Deep Exfoliating Wash, Intensive Brightening Toner, Dual Active Brightening Complex, and a Broad Spectrum SPF 50+ Sunscreen for daytime wear. You can see some amazing before and after transformations here {results from Reverse are shown with yellow accents}.

Redefine Regimen- The Redefine Regimen is Rodan + Fields regimen specifically to combat the visible signs of aging! It layers cosmetic ingredient and proven peptide technology to help defend against and reduce the visible signs of aging for noticeably firmer, smoother, flawless-looking skin! It is also a four step regimen that combines the Daily Cleansing Mask, Pore Minimizing Toner, Triple Defense Treatment SPF 30 (daytime moisturizer), and Overnight Restorative Cream. This amazing regimen has achieved amazing results for so many women and is now the #1 Premium Anti-aging brand in the United States! Here are some incredible before and after results {first section in blue!}

Eye Pampering Combo- I think we can all agree that along with all the laughter and smiles we've added to our moms lives there has also been an extra dose of stress, worry and sleepless nights. Whether they're smile lines from laughing or puffy eyes from lack of sleep, you can help your mom pamper her eyes with this awesome product combo. The Redefine Eye Cloths will help her gently remove her makeup while combating the visible signs of aging using a unique blend of peptides clinically shown to reduce the appearance of lines, under-eye wrinkles and puffiness. Combine these with the Redefine Multi-Function Eye Cream {another best-seller}, and you're giving her a winning combination! This eye cream, that can be used both morning and night, combines powerful peptides to minimize the appearance of crow's-feet and help reduce the appearance of puffiness and dark under eye circles while special optical diffusers noticeably brighten the eye area. The skin around the eyes is extremely delicate so we all need a product to protect and maintain it.

If you are interested in giving your mom, mother in law or any other moms in your life {or YOURSELF} the gift of beautiful skin, feel free to email me {} or comment so I can help you get it set up and answer any questions you may have!

Thanks so much for reading!

Happy Wednesday, y'all!

I apologize for the later than usual post, but this week has been very busy! With Mother's Day right around the corner, this week I'm going to be sharing a two-part post series with some fun ideas for Mother's Day gifts I think all the moms in your lives would love!

I know every mom is unique and has her own special style, but I believe there are some things that women never grow out of getting as gifts. Remember those things of your mom's that you'd look at with amazement as a little girl and the things that were so meaningful to you to receive when you finally got a little older? I remember my first real perfume {as opposed to Bath & Body Works body spray}, my first designer purse, and the first time my mom took me to get my makeup done professionally! Those little things of wonder are the gifts I believe we, as women, never lose the giddiness for receiving. No matter how many we may have, there's something about us that treasures them now just as much as the very first time we received them.

One of those treasures of my mom's that I always thought was so mesmerizing was her scent. There is something about the mixture between the beauty of the collection of perfume bottles on her vanity and the scent that you can pick out of a crowd as "your mom's" that is so special and magical to me. I can still bring to mind the smell of the perfume Marme wore all throughout my childhood! She doesn't wear that same scent anymore, but a few years ago, she asked for a new perfume for Christmas so I went perfume shopping and had so much fun trying to pick out the perfect scent! Coco Mademoiselle was the winner, and I still try to sneak a spritz in for myself every once in a while when I am at her house! However, if you're nervous to pick out a scent for your mom, Sephora sells perfume sampler boxes that come with a variety of perfume samples so your mom can test them out and decide which she likes best. Then {the best part} the sample boxes come with a voucher inside for a full size perfume! I hope whoever came up with this idea is very rich right now because- genius! You win again, Sephora.

Then there are bags...I don't know about you, but I don't know any woman who doesn't love a new bag. My Marme has carried a {chic} backpack purse for as far back as I can remember so I'm always on the hunt for her next one. I'm kind of in love with this Tory Burch style, and the color options are divine! It doesn't even have to be a designer purse; you can find super cute purses everywhere from Target to DSW! In all honesty, the backpack purse my mom is carrying now I bought her from Target over a year ago, and it. is. so. chic. I was tempted to keep it for myself, but the purse she had then was majorly overdue to head to purse heaven.

I love me a good watch. Who doesn't?! There might be a theme developing here, but my Marme has been going steady with the same Michael Kors watch for years now also. It's not that she doesn't love buying new things, but she is so selfless that she would rather spend the money on her family than purchase something big for herself. Most of her designer goods have been gifts! I'm serious when I say that she is the most selfless woman I know, and I pray that I can continue to become more and more like her. Watches are such beautiful, timeless pieces to invest in so they make the perfect gifts for mom. I love the classic style of this Daniel Wellington watch, and the Orla Kiely watch would be special for her because my mom and I first discovered Orla Kiely's fun, colorful brand in London! She took me there after I graduated from high school, and we loved how bright and fun her line was. Thank goodness she finally made her way to the states!

Y'all. Shopping for my mom is my favorite! Shopping for anyone takes a little bit of trial and error, at first, but when you nail it and choose that piece that becomes a closet staple, there's nothing better! Last year, I picked out these wedges for her when we were shopping, and she hasn't taken them off I think it's time to add a new pair to the rotation- I love these black espadrilles.

Anthropologie is one of my mom's favorite stores {isn't it everyone's?!} so I try to buy her clothes or gift cards from there as often as I can! I can totally picture her looking so cute with her wedges and jeans in this gingham chambray button up,  but I might also have to pick one up for myself! Please do not skip Anthropologie's jewelry section...What I love about their jewelry is that it's always gorgeous and unique. Marme isn't going to walk out of the house one morning and be jewelry twins with the tween from down the street. You won't find similar pieces of jewelry at all the other stores in the mall which makes their pieces worth the price.

Last but never least- lipstick! Marme is religious about her lipstick application. She doesn't leave the house without lipliner and lipstick, and she doesn't leave a restaurant or the car without making sure she doesn't need to reapply. I guess that's where my love of lipstick started, and now I love picking them out for her too! I got her to try one of my favorite lip colors a while back, and now she rocks it all the time! It's NYX Indie Flick, and it honestly looks better on her than on me! I've heard amazing things about these new Bite Amuse Bouche Lipsticks so I want to pick some up for us to try!

So this was a really long post, but I hope it gave you some great ideas for all the moms, mother in laws, grandmas or whoever else you are buying presents for! My mom is one of the most important and special people in my life, and I am who I am because of her. My Marme devotes every single day of the year to serving her family so I want to make sure she feels precious and loved on her special day!

My most favorite picture of us! She looked SO stunning at my wedding!

Thank you so much for reading! XOXO

If you know me or if you have simply seen my pictures, you may have noticed that God punished  {JK} gifted me with ghost skin. I am so. very. white. Over the years, after much effort and many sunburns and guilt trips about sun damage later, I've had to come to grips with the fact that I will never be a naturally golden bronze sun goddess who is beautifully tan the second the sun pours through her window every morning while the birds chirp and butterflies fly around her... Bitter? Me? Never! ;) It's okay- I've moved past it...most days.

Because of this porcelain doll skin {that sounds much better than ghost skin}, I've had to really jump on board the sunless tanning train, and you should too if you haven't yet! Not only because we are way past the days of orange-streaked legs and walking around smelling like...well I'm not even sure how to describe the smell {but I can still smell it from my middle school days, and I KNOW y'all know what smell I'm talking about}, but also because sun=UV rays=sun damaged skin=not cute when you're older. No one wants to look like leather work when they are one.

Today, I want to share a little bit about how I've mastered an at home tan recently. Besides those questionable sunless tanning lotions of my middle school days that could so easily go orange or get streaky, I hadn't experimented a lot with self tanners until a year or two ago. Before that, if I had an event I wanted to be tan for, I would usually go to a spray tan booth {which I still love}, but I can't afford to do that on a weekly basis so I started looking into sunless tanning products I could apply myself at home.

I'm going to be completely transparent here and tell you that one of my favorite self tanning products is here from Sephora, but as I started researching Rodan + Fields, I found that they also had a sunless tanning mousse! One of my friends gave me a bottle to try before I ever became a consultant, but I sort of forgot about it for a few months because I already had my "go-to" products. After running out of one of my favorites, I decided to give it a try rather than go pick up another bottle of this other brand, and I was pleasantly surprised that the application was actually a breeze and the color it gives is a really beautiful, natural looking tan! With one application, you'll get a natural shade or two darker. If you want more color, just wait until your first layer is dry and add another! Besides the Rodan + Fields Foaming Sunless Tan being a lot more affordable for the size than the tanning products I had been using before AND {as if anyone needed another reason besides saving money} it contains antioxidant vitamin A, C, and E to protect your skin from free radicals AND D-cell technology which quenches the rate of cell hyper-proliferation which allows for a longer lasting sunless tan! So that was a mouthful, but it just goes to show you there are multiple benefits to this product other than just a good tan! Win, win, win!

So do I still love my former bronzing mousse? Yes, but do I love spending less money on looking tan so I can spend more money on clothes to look tan in? OBVIOUSLY! Just kidding, I only spend my extra money on my handsome hubby ;)

So this is a super long post, but last thing I want to touch on is my tips for best tanning technique!
1. The day before you want to apply the sunless tan, use an in-shower exfoliator on your whole body and shave! If you shave before you apply the tan, then your tan will last longer because shaving takes the color off faster. After your shower, be sure to moisturize so the color won't stick to extra dry areas!
2. Get a tanning mitt! Seriously, it makes the application so easy and basically impossible to end up streaky! I apply the mousse to the mitt, then apply it to the area in circles until it's all blended out. On Saturday, I did my whole body in under 5 minutes! Soo easy plus you don't have to worry about your hands turning orange with the mitt.
3. Be sure to allow the product to fully dry before getting dressed. I think I gave it about 20-30 minutes because I had the time. The color starts developing in 2-4 hours.
4. Apply at night! I do this for two reasons. One- because I am super sensitive to the smell of self tanners, and I cannot stand to walk around being paranoid of people smelling it on me! Haha! So if you apply it at night, you can let it dry and develop over night then shower off the excess layer in the morning, and you'll be left with the beautiful tan without having to worry about the smell. *But honestly, I applied the R+F Sunless Tan on Saturday morning and spent the whole day with people, and no one noticed a thing so it's probably just my paranoia! And two- I do my best to workout at least 4-5 times a week, and if I go to the gym without having showered off the excess color layer, the excess starts dripping with my sweat...Sorry, I know that's gross, but I'm just trying to help you out here. I get circles of color at my elbow creases while running and streaks of color all over. It's not cute, just trust me on this. I, cooly, do my best to rub away the evidence without everyone around me noticing my color is melting. Insert laughing/crying face. This is not just this tanning mousse; it happens with every sunless tanner I've tried so it's just an accepted phenomenon to adding a layer of color to your skin. Shower it off- don't scrub, just rinse!
5. The day after you apply the tan, be sure to moisturize with a color developing lotion like this to continue to extend the life of your tan!

There you are! My sunless tanning routine. Go forth and get you some of this magic! ;) But really, thanks for reading! Let me know if you have any questions in the comments!

I'm extremely excited and nervous for this post today! Let me warn you and say IT. IS. A. LONG. ONE. So grab a coffee and read away!

This is a completely different type of post than you'd normally find here on Cassidy Rae Blog, and if you are just here for the style posts, then THANK YOU and check back soon for our regularly scheduled awkward pics with Cassidy ;)! Today I want to share my heart and what has been going on in our lives recently. Something I have always struggled with is my fear of failure. I have a very strong (unhealthy, at times) fear of failing at something I try or disappointing someone, and countless times in my life, I have let my fear of failure stop me from doing something. I'm sure you've all heard the saying, "Don't let the fear of failure keep you from playing the game." Yeah, well, easier said than done. I have always had a bad habit of letting my fear keep me from trying something new! In college, it pains me to admit it, but I got my degree in a field I enjoy but wasn't passionate about simply because I was afraid that I might fail if I shoot for something bigger or something that took me out of my comfort zone.

I've been wanting to write a personal style/fashion/beauty/lifestyle blog for probably the last five years (at least), but do you know that I created this blog a whole year before I ever really put myself out there and decided not to be afraid of failing or what people may think about it and just GO FOR IT?! I was so scared that people would judge me for how I looked in pictures or think I was shallow because I cared about frivolous things like shopping, clothes, and beauty products! It wasn't until almost two months ago that I remembered that God tell us that He didn't give us a spirit of fear but of power (2 Timothy 1:7)! I finally put my fears of what other people thought aside and focused on what God thought. He is the one who created me, who gave me a passion for clothes, for styling, for wanting to help girls and women feel their very best, and it's my job to be a good steward of those gifts and to use them in a way that would glorify him.

Galations 1:10
"For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ."

Not looking to the approval of our peers is extremely hard in a world where material things rule over us so easily if we let them, but I want my life to be a journey of seeking and looking to please God, not man. I want my life and my goals to be about helping others; however, I am not searching for their approval but God's approval. Talk about a really hard concept to master especially for a people pleaser like me! I am constantly guilty of letting my light for Christ be dimmed for fear of what others will think. It is by no means something I have down, but God has definitely been working on this in me. I finally let go of my fears and let God take over, and I believe that with this blog, I have the platform to reach girls and women that I never would have before! Even if I can help one person boost their self confidence or plant a seed in one person about the richness and fullness of life that Christ offers us, then it is all worth it. Even if I was the only person on earth, Jesus still would have given his life to save mine so I will seek to serve him and glorify him even if I ever only impact one person.

I wanted to share my heart on that first because I have decided to overcome my fear of failure and step out of my comfort zone in another area of my life! I've shared on the blog a while back that my hubby went into the military last fall. He has been in training since then for his future job, and we were a few months out from leaving San Antonio when he broke his hand. :( At that point, we had already made plans with my "nanny fam" {as I like to call them ;)} that I would be leaving in the fall so they enrolled all three kids in full day school. The timing was pretty amazing because I have been with this family almost 2 years now and absolutely dreaded the thought of leaving them and this kids to go through the process of getting to know and trust a new nanny, but right around this time one of their grandparents decided to move to San Antonio just a couple blocks from their house! Both of parents are doctors and have extremely full schedules but decided it would be best for everyone if instead of hiring a new nanny, the kids went to school full day and their grandma would take care of them after school until mom and dad got home from work. Needless to say, it was a bit of an answer to prayer and a relief that there wouldn't be a ton of upheaval with me leaving if they'd get to be with grandma all the time ;) So insert a broken hand and delayed plans with leaving San Antonio and we find Cassidy unemployed as of four months from now. {Man's plans vs. God's plans- amiright?! He absolutely used this for HIS GOOD!} Unemployment is a very scary thought no matter how far in advance you know about it. I'd love to find another amazing family like my nanny fam now, but with the chance of having to leave San Antonio sometime in the near future, unless the job was purposefully temporary, I wouldn't feel right about coming into a family and children's lives only to leave them soon after.

That's where I am and where I have been for the last two or three months- praying about what God has for us in the near future and asking that He will open the right doors and give us the courage to walk through them without fear of failure. I've been praying for a while now that He would bring me a job opportunity that I could take with D and I wherever God and the military take us in the future. That's when a friend through church approached me about a career opportunity with Rodan + Fields that has been a huge blessing for her family. If you've never heard of them, Rodan + Fields is a premium skincare line created by Dr. Katie Rodans and Dr. Kathy Fields, the dermatologists who created Proactiv.

Just to share a few facts about the company:
R+F has been and still is the fastest growing premium skincare company in the U.S.
R+F is the #1 premium anti-aging skincare brand AND the #1 premium brand acne treatment.
R+F launched in Canada a year ago and is slated to launch in Australia later this year.
R+F is not a "home parties" based company; we do not stock inventory, and we are not responsible for delivering/returning products.
R+F clinical grade skin care products were the #1 brand in high end retailers including Nordstrom before hitting the direct sales market, and we receive a TON of free press every month (Oprah, Ellen, Harper's Bazaar, Allure, Forbes, Fitness magazine, People, Fox Business name a few).
R+F offers a 60-day money back guarantee for both customers AND consultants!
{My personal favorite} I can earn an income for being the "product junkie" that I am, trying out new products, and talking about it!

So those are just a few things about the "what" of this new venture, but I'd also like to share the "why" of all this. As I mentioned before, sometime in the very near future D and I will both be pushed out of our comfort zone of family and friends and San Antonio! Neither of us have ever lived anywhere else {CRAZY to think about}, and it won't be long before we are moving from place to place starting from scratch each time. God has put it so heavily on my heart to create a business and an income for us and our future family that can travel with us- something that will be a blessing for us and something that will help take extra stress off of D as he is training to fight for and defend our country's freedom! I want to do everything in my power {with God's help} to give my hubby as little as possible to worry about or think about when he is away, and I feel that contributing in this way financially is one way I can do that. I truly believe that God brought this to us as an answer to a very specific prayer. We've been praying about whether or not R+F would be the right opportunity for us, and my prayer was simply that if this was where God wanted us to go that he would take away my fear of failure and give me the confidence to move forward boldly with it! And, you guys, that is EXACTLY what he did! D has been encouraging me in it from the very first time I talked with my friend about this, and the Lord completely took away my spirit of fear and worry and replaced it with an excitement and confidence in this venture!!!!

I am in no way a "sales" person, and it definitely doesn't come naturally to me, by any means. I don't want y'all to think, 'Oh, great. Here's another sales pitch to me by that "Rodan + Fields girl." Quick, run away!' The only way that I feel I can succeed in this business is by being real. I'm just going to test things out and share with y'all products that have worked for me and worked for other people, and if you want to know about something further, just ask! I promise I'm not going to badger you to death ;)

My relationships are so much more important to me than making a buck, and if you've been following along recently, I think you can already tell that when I'm excited about something, I'm going to share because I want every one I know to love it just as much as I do! {Speaking of which, I think I've found a new holy grail dry shampoo!!! No, it's not R+F so I'm not making a dime! More on that later ;)} So there it is! That's exactly how I'm approaching this new adventure, and I hope that you will support me in it whether it be in prayers, encouragement, or product purchases! I will need every single one of those things to succeed!

Oh my goodness, I had no idea exactly how long this was going to be when I started writing, and if you made it this far, you are a SAINT! Thank you so much for reading and letting me share my heart with you! I want to leave y'all with one more verse that I'm praying over this new business venture.

Psalm 46:5
God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at the break of day.

Top (S), almost sold this & this | Jeans (28) 40% off with code STYLE | Wedges (6.5; run a tad bit narrow) If you're sick of these by now, check out these, these, and these ;) | Purse | Necklace- I made it bc I couldn't spend $105 on this beauty *insert heart eyes emoji* | Sunnies

I'm sure y'all know boyfriend jeans have been all the rage for a while now, but for some reason, I have never found a pair I like. I'm just going to be real here and say that every time I try on a pair, I look like I weigh about 300 pounds more- not cute. Every time I see them on someone else, I LOVE the look, and it rekindles my desire to find the perfect pair.

Enter the introduction of the "girlfriend" jean. They're a new spin on the boyfriend jean of years past {and present!}, but these are a little less baggy and a bit more slim fitting. I tried on this pair and was so excited because instead of looking like I just put on an extra 300 pounds, they were flattering while still giving the slouchy, laid-back vibe I had been craving! They definitely take some getting used to, but I think they are a nice break from my skinnies. Even after my Marme took these pictures and I was looking through them, I was still a little iffy about how they looked, but part of the journey of discovering your personal style is getting out of your comfort zone and going for it so here we are!

Another bonus is that they are so comfortable! I've been wearing them at work all this week with my leopard tennies, obviously, and it's like having on a pair of chic yoga pants ;)

Do you love boyfriend jeans? Have you given girlfriend jeans a try yet?

Thanks for reading! XOXO

Dress (Small) | Wedges (6.5)- Also loving these and these | Necklace | Lips (Indie Flick) | Nails (White Out) | Tan
Word of warning: the wind really likes swing dresses ;)

It's been raining in San Antonio for something like the past five days and is supposed to continue this entire week! Needless to say, I haven't been able to take outfit pics! Ugh, but here's an easy swing dress I've been holding back because I wanted to reshoot it a few different ways- too bad! I really love this dress from ON, and it is so easy to throw on and go. It's perfect with wedges, gladiator sandals, or Ked's, and don't forget to throw on your jean jacket if it's chilly outside!

I also wore it this past weekend with my white Ked's to go furniture thrifting with my college roommate who was in town! We met on our Bid Day in college and were basically inseparable from then on! She is such a genuinely good person, and I'm so lucky to have her in my life (even if she's normally three hours away)!

Happy Monday, y'all! I hope everyone had a fun weekend and has a wonderful start to the work week!

Thanks for reading!

Has anyone else seen the popular jean shorts brand One Teaspoon? They're baggy, destroyed, and altogether a bit of a hot mess...But they do hot mess so well it looks effortless and chic. I have been loving them recently, but with a price tag around $100 a pair, they don't quite fit into my clothing budget. So I found an old pair of boyfriend fit shorts and decided to do a little DIY to see if I could make my own One Teaspoon shorts!

These are Gap from a couple years ago, but here is a similar style. Also, these would also be perfect! Depending on how baggy you want them to fit, you might try ordering one size up. I already had these or else I would have!

First, unroll the hem. Mine had a stitched hem on the seams that I was able to easily snip the stitches.

I used another pair of shorts I wear regularly for a general guide on length. Your best bet is to mark them a little longer than you think at first and slowly make them shorter as needed. You can always keep cutting more off the length, but you can't add length once it's gone!

I made small cuts on the inseams and the outer seams of both legs to make sure my cuts would be even.

Snip! Snip! This step is made much easier with the use of fabric scissors (AKA new scissors that haven't been dulled by paper or other materials). As you can see, I cut the backside a little longer because I do not want my booty hanging out. Not cute. After I made my cuts, I tried them on again and cut more until I reached the look I wanted. I didn't cut mine quite as short as actual One Teaspoon shorts because 1. they aren't as baggy so they don't hang as low and 2. modesty, people, modesty.

To make the frayed edges, run the "v" of the scissors back and forth along the edges. I also threw mine in the washing machine to really help along the fraying process.

And here you have it- the finished product! I'd like to add a lot more distressing and roughing up the edges a bit, but I think they are a decent look-a-like for using some old shorts I had on hand! I think for my next pair, I'll be stopping into a thrift shop to pick up some high waisted mom jeans or a pair of mens jeans to get extra baggy and slouchy!

Thanks for reading!

What do y'all think of these? Are you a One Teaspoon fan also?

Top- old Madewell, super similar with a cute button up back (M), similar (great basic- I wear a S), utility blouse (normally a S in Loft) | Black Denim (28) | Sandals (6- TTS) | Necklace- old, love this, this & this | Lips in Indie Flick (the perfect orange lip) | Toes in Charming | Nails in Whiteout, but any bright white will do ;)

Happy Fri-YAY, everybody! As always, I'm super excited for the weekend. I am not and have never been a morning person so having to wake up around 5:00am every morning for work (#adulthoodproblems), really, really makes me appreciate sleeping in on Saturday mornings.

Anyways, I've always loved the look of a crisp, white blouse. Whether it's a classic button-down or a cute frilly silhouette, they're so easy to throw on with a simple outfit and still look put together. This top is an old one from Madewell, but I've linked a few similar options that I wouldn't mind adding to my wardrobe ;)

I hope you all have a wonderful end to the work week! Cheers to the weekend!

Thanks so much for reading and supporting my blog! XOXO

Top (M) | Jeans (8) | Sandals (6-TTS) | Necklace (old), LOVE this | Lips (#26 Rose Libertin) | Sunnies

I am obsessed with this bright pink/purple color right now. I am dying for this dress in this similar shade! In my book, it is the perfect color for spring, and it really shows off a tan ;)

On another note, I promised y'all on instagram (@cassidyraeblog) that you'd be seeing a lot more of these shoes, and I wasn't kidding. They are my favorite sandal right now. The studs give a little edginess to the classic minimalist sandal, and they are also pretty comfortable! I wore them to church on Sunday, lunch, and a Target run (no short task) afterwards without any problems.

Do you have a new favorite shoe or color you can't take off this spring? Thanks so much for reading!

Today I'm letting y'all in on an AMAZING sugar cookie recipe. Seriously, I've never been that big of a sugar cookie person {why would I choose not to have chocolate in my cookie?!}, but these have changed my mind! My brother's fiancĂ© first made these for us, and I may have finished them off in 2 days...not proud of it. Don't judge. You'll understand when you taste them!

I do my best never to show up to a party empty-handed, and if you want to have the hit dessert next family holiday, I've got you covered. They're super simple to make and perfect because you can customize the colors of the icing to match whatever holiday or event theme you want! I made these for my family's Easter gathering in pastel egg colors, and everyone loved them!

These are called Italian Sugar Cookies! I suggest only baking them 6-7 minutes instead of the full listed time, but I always like my cookies extra soft ;)

Let me know what you think! Thank you so much for reading!
