Can y'all believe that Thanksgiving is less than two weeks away?! That just blows my mind. A year ago from yesterday I was spending the day getting all gussied up to marry the love of my life! That's right, D & I celebrated our first wedding anniversary yesterday! Yay, us! It has been a fun, crazy ride, and I am so excited for the journey God has for us!

So back to CLOTHES because CLOTHES OVER BROS, amiright?! ;) (just kidding, babe- sorta) I've been brainstorming Thanksgiving outfit ideas and wanted to share a little inspiration with you guys. I'm all about comfy, loose clothes on Thanksgiving because- DUH. Let's be real, I want to eat everything in sight and not feel like I'm bursting out of my clothes. I found this dress (also thinking about this one) that looks like it would fit the bill for the occasion! Cute, cozy, and a tad bit loose- SOLD (well, actually still sitting in my cart, but I'll have to change that today because Loft is having their Friendsgiving sale for 40% off everything just for registering your email! Don't miss out)

And to keep my coziness still looking chic because- PICTURES, I chose some great accessories like this bib necklace, classic clutch, and beautiful over-the-knee boots! Wine is the new black this season so don't be shy- give it a try! HA. I'm sorry, I had to after I read that back to myself. Forgive my cheesy humor :)

I hope this gives y'all some inspiration for outfit planning! Let me know what you plan on wearing for your Thanksgiving festivities!

Let's talk fall and winter hats today! If you've never been a hat person, donning one in public may be a little bit scary for the first time, but I am a firm believer in the fact that adding a hat can take your outfit to a whole new level! My advice, if you are a newbie hat person, is to start off small and work your way up. Maybe rock a smaller panama hat before moving up to a full floppy hat, and beanies are also one of the easiest winter accessories to add to any look. Just go for it! Chances are, everyone you see will be jealous of your look and wondering if they could rock a hat as well as you! Below are some of my fall and winter favorites!

Hi y'all! I am beyond excited because today is the first day in San Antonio to feel like fall ALL DAY long! No 60 degree morning weather and 90 degrees in the afternoon. It has been a delicious 60ish degrees all day!!! I actually got to pull out my boots for the first time this season! Oh, San Antonio, I won't miss your weather when I'm gone. But enough weather speak...I wanted to share some of my new makeup and hair product finds I've been loving recently!

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer- Hydrating: I have always heard great things about Laura Mercier products so I finally decided to give them a try, and they did not disappoint. I have been on the hunt for a new primer/foundation combination so when I saw that this was specially formulated to hydrate skin, I was sold. I put this on before my foundation or tinted moisturizer, and it makes the rest of my makeup application flawless and acts almost like a second moisturizer (which my skin can always use as much moisture as it can get)!

Laura Mercier Silk Creme Moisturizing Photo Edition Foundation: This foundation is absolutely my new favorite product! I have had so much trouble finding a foundation that works with my skin because it is so dry. Most foundations cling to my dry spots- no thank you, but this specially formulated for dry skin moisturizing foundation has been wonderful! I apply it with a damp beauty blender, and it looks seamless. I love that it offers full coverage with only a small amount of product, AND it doesn't rub off throughout the day!

YSL Rouge Pur Couture #205 Matte Burgundy: My new fall go-to lip! The perfect matte, deep wine color! Buy it now- thank me later!

NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray: One of my best friend's introduced me to this product, and it really is a game changer. I was having so much trouble with my foundation gradually rubbing off throughout the day before I started using this. Now, once I finish my makeup, I spray this on a few minutes later, and it gives my makeup that matte look I want. There are so many different setting sprays out there, but this one absolutely lives up to its claims. It has kept me matte through sweat and rain so that is saying something!

Sebastian Potion 9: This is a styling product that can be applied to wet hair or dry hair! I apply this to my damp hair before blow drying, and it leaves it so soft and adds extra volume! I've also applied it to my dry hair to give it extra texture. Ulta has a sale on the travel size, as well, so you can give it a try before buying the big one!

KMS California Hair Play Makeover Spray: I would describe this product as a mix between a dry shampoo and a texture builder! It absorbs oil for refreshing day-old hair, but it can also be used to give fresh hair more texture and volume! This is definitely one of my new favorite products that I've been using almost daily! For day-old curls, I spray it on and it gives them a little refresh for a beachy wave, or for straight hair, I have been spraying it on to add texture and hold! I originally bought the travel size to try it out and am obsessed! I can't wait to get the full size!

Thanks for reading, y'all!

As I'm sure many of you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and this cause is especially close to my heart because it was my sorority's philanthropy! So I wanted to dedicate this Friday Favorites post to the all-about-pink pretties I have my eye on!

How cute is this watermelon lip balm popsicle?! I need it to add to my obsessive collection of lip balms!

Buy this Loft Cowl Neck Tunic NOW...You can thank me later because it will be THE softest tunic you wear all winter. I wore mine today ;)

Isn't the bottling on this bubble bath beautiful? It would make me feel extra fancy and special soaking after a long day!

I hope y'all enjoyed this little pink round-up! More importantly, I hope this helps you remember to be vigilant about doing regular breast self exams, scheduling your mammograms, and reminding your family and friends to do the same!

Happy hump day, lovelies!

This past weekend D & I decided to have a date night in and try out a few new cocktails! D went with a classic Manhattan which really wasn't my style, but I decided to give a Bay Breeze a try- colorful, fruity, and sweet- my three must-haves in a drink ;) It was absolutely delicious so I wanted to share the super simple recipe!

Bay Breeze
1 1/2 oz. coconut rum {I used Malibu}
2 oz. cranberry juice
2 oz. pineapple juice
ice to shake
dash of lime juice
lime peel and pinapple to garnish

1. Add the ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice and...SHAKE! ;)
2. Rub lime onto the rim of cocktail glasses and dip in sugar.
3. Pour drink into your glasses and garnish with lime and pineapple.

It's the perfect drink to reward yourself with for making it to the halfway point of your week! You go, girl!

"Give a woman the right lipstick, and she can conquer the world!"
Ladies, is this true or is this true? One of my favorite ways to welcome fall into my wardrobe {because you know we won't be getting real fall weather in Texas for another few weeks} is to bring out my fall lip colors! Berry, wine, cool nudes, anything that speaks fall, you better believe I will have on these lips o' mine.

Here are my top fall go-to lippy's this season!

A vampy dark that instantly brings an added sultry element to your look | Revlon Super Lustrous Lipcolor in Black Cherry

A sheer wine color that is a perfect transition into your fall wardrobe | Lipstick Queen Saint Sheer in Berry

A beautiful, matte dark red that is always classic | NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella

A gorgeous orangey hue that brings a bright fall pop to an outfit | NYX Matte Lipstick in Indie Flick

A blushy nude that can be an every day go to and look classy and feminine | Lipstick Queen Velvet Rope in Star System

What favorite fall hues are you wearing on your lips? I'd love to hear about some new to try out!

Hey girl hey!
Raise your hand if you believe in using dry shampoo over washing your hair every day. Two hands up over here! My feelings toward washing my hair border on the lines of loathing. This is probably irrational because, in all honesty, I don't have very difficult hair to deal with. I can let it air dry and have it look passably decent most of the time, but for the sake of laziness time efficiency, I would rather get a good two or three days out of one shampoo-ing. Enter dry shampoo.

Now, I have been on the hunt for a good dry shampoo for what seems like EVER. Every dry shampoo I have tried has left this gross residue in my hair that is (ALMOST) worse than just having greasy hair so I've been on the fence about them- simply accepting it as a necessary evil. Until I ran out of my dry shampoo the other day and decided to, yet again, pick out a new brand at the store! After hearing a few good reviews of Batiste Dry Shampoo I decided to grab the Tropical fragrance and give it a try. Wow, it did not disappoint. This is my new holy grail product for dry shampoo because not only does it smell AMAZING, but it doesn't leave any of the gunky residue that makes my hair feel worse after using. My hair may even look better today than it did freshly washed because this stuff gives it more volume and hold! I am definitely in love!

And as promised, a fun twisted fish tail braid that I did playing around this morning! Saturdays are my happy days where I get to do nothing and anything I want to so naturally I played with my hair and fake lashes. Never gonna grow up :)

Excuse the dead flowers in the background. Flowers are on my Saturday to-do list ;)

Have a fabulous weekend, dolls!

I am always giggling at D because he is not a very avid social media user, and when we were dating, I introduced him to Instagram and he could never remember the right name so he would always call it 'gram. Now whenever I think about instagram it makes me laugh remembering all the times he would ask if I'm "making a gram."

Here's a round up of whats been on my 'Gram ;) recently. I hope y'all enjoy and follow me @cassidyraeblog!

Hi lovelies! Today I wanted to share a special thing with y'all- our wedding pictures! D and I got married back in November before I started this blog, but as I'm sure y'all can understand, I just LOVE scrolling through our pictures over and over again! I'm very lucky to have an extremely talented aunt who is a photographer! She owns Ever After Photography and did all the photography for our wedding. She's the best :) I hope y'all enjoy this fun little glimpse into the happiest day of our lives!

They they are living happily ever after! Muah!
